Something not working?

Most problems have a one-minute fix. Check the list below first. If yours is not on it, write to us and we sort it out.

On stream

The alerts are not right

The alert shows, but nobody hears it

The sound plays in your alert tool, but the audio never reaches the stream. In OBS, open the browser source of your alert box, tick Control audio via OBS, and check that its fader in the audio mixer is up and not muted.

The upload is rejected

Use the MP3 instead of the WAV. It is the same sound in a much smaller file, and some tools limit the file size. Sound Alerts, for example, recommends files below 5 MB.

The alert is too loud or too quiet

Every alert tool has its own volume per alert, and OBS adds the mixer on top. Set the alert volume to about half, trigger a test alert while you talk, and adjust from there. The install guide has a short section on getting the level right.

The sound gets cut off

The alert disappears before the sound has finished. Set the alert duration in your tool to at least the length of the sound. You find each length on the pack page next to the preview.

Getting your files

The email with the link has not arrived

It goes out the moment your payment is confirmed. If it is not in your inbox after a few minutes, check your spam folder and, in Gmail, the Promotions tab.

Still nothing? Write to us from the email address you used at checkout and we send it again.

The link has expired or stopped working

Download links stay valid for three days and work three times per file. That keeps the files from spreading, and it costs you nothing: write to us from your checkout address and you get a fresh link, free of charge, whenever you need one.

Where is my receipt?

Your receipt comes from Link, a Stripe company, which sells the packs on our behalf and handles the payment. Questions about a charge or a refund are best answered by replying to that receipt. Everything about the sounds themselves, ask us.

License

Using the sounds

Can I keep the alerts in my VODs, clips and shorts?

Yes. Recordings of your streams may contain the sounds on any platform, monetized or not. The license has the details.

One of my videos got a copyright claim

We never register our sounds with Content ID. If a claim shows up anyway, send us the link to the video and we help you clear it.

Can I use the sounds in a video that is not a stream?

Not under the standard license. It covers your streams and the recordings made from them. For anything else, such as an edited video, an intro or an ad, write to us. A separate license is usually quick to arrange.
