License agreement
What you may do with the sounds you bought from us, and what you may not. The same text travels inside every download as a PDF, so you always have it to hand. If your case is not covered, write to us and we answer it plainly.
1. What this covers
This license governs your use of any sound pack you bought from us (the “pack”): the sound files it contains, in every format we deliver, and any sounds we add to it in later updates. The pack is licensed to you, not sold. JRM-Studios, Inh. Johannes Riedl remains its owner. Streaming Sounds is a brand of JRM-Studios, Inh. Johannes Riedl.
Your purchase is governed by our terms and conditions. Where this license and those terms differ, the terms and conditions apply.
2. What you may do
Use the sounds in your own live streams. As alerts, notifications or sound effects, on any platform – Twitch, YouTube, Kick, TikTok Live or any other – including monetized streams. Your viewers may trigger them through an alert or sound extension on your channel.
Keep them in your recordings. VODs, highlights, clips and shorts cut from your streams may contain the sounds, on any platform, monetized or not. This applies for as long as the recordings exist – it does not expire with this license.
Upload them to the tools you stream with. Streamlabs, StreamElements, Sound Alerts, OBS or any similar service, as long as the sounds are used there for your own channels only.
Use them on every channel you run yourself. The license is personal: it covers you and the channels you operate, on as many platforms as you like. Moderators and editors working on your channel for you are included. A team, agency or network with several creators is not – each creator needs their own license.
Make backup copies. As many as you need, for your own use.
3. What you may not do
You may not pass on, resell, share, lend, rent, sublicense or publish the sounds as such, in whole or in part, whether or not for payment. This includes giving them to other streamers and uploading them anywhere other users can reach them, such as public sound libraries inside alert services.
You may not include the sounds in another sound pack, alert pack, overlay package, sample library or sound effects collection, or offer them in any form from which they can be extracted again.
You may not use the sounds outside your streams and the recordings described in section 2 – for example in advertising, film, television, games, music releases or videos produced independently of your streams. If you would like to, write to us. A separate license is usually quick to arrange.
You may not use the sounds to train, develop or test artificial intelligence or machine learning systems.
4. Content ID and collecting societies
You may not register the sounds, or a recording because of the sounds in it, with YouTube Content ID or any similar system, nor with a collecting society such as GEMA, ASCAP or BMI. The rights in the sounds are ours, and registering them would be a claim to rights you do not hold.
We do not register the sounds with Content ID ourselves. If one of your recordings is claimed because of our sounds anyway, send us the link and we will help you clear it.
5. How long this lasts
The license is perpetual. It ends only if you breach section 3, or if you choose to end it by deleting the pack and all copies of it.
If it ends, you stop using the sounds in new streams and remove them from your tools. Recordings made while the license was in force stay unaffected – you do not have to take down a VOD or a clip.
6. Everything else
Payment, delivery, your right of withdrawal, defects, liability and applicable law are dealt with in our terms and conditions. They are not repeated here, so that there is only ever one version of them.
Questions about this license go to hi@streaming-sounds.com.
